Production Index Comparison
The
production index in 1997 increased to 574 more than
the previous figure in 1996, which shows steady increase
and development despite the sluggish domestic economy,
a high figure compared to the production indexes of
565 of the chemical industry and 515 of the general
chemical industry.

3) Production
Per Capita and Added Value
The specialty chemical industry
production per capita reached $205.2 thousand
in 1997, a 2.8% increment rate compared
to the 11.5% increment from 1995. However,

with $169.5 thousand in the manufacturing
industry and $214.2 thousand in the chemical
industry.
The added values of the specialty
chemical industry decreased by 0.5% to 51.3%
in 1997 compared to 51.8% in 1995. However,
